Frances and Mike look forward to welcoming you to Little Folly Exmoor.

After recently moving here with a dog, 2 horses and a cat, we immediately became enchanted by this special place.

Surrounded by sweeping moors and wide, clear night skies, Little Folly is the perfect holiday cottage for those seeking a well-earned  break or a much-needed retreat. Infused with peace and a deep tranquillity, it has inspired artists and writers.

Nestled in the folds of the landscape, a short walk  or indeed a run or cycle, will take you over moorland, past babbling brooks, through moss-clad woodland and beside a patchwork of meadowland. There are many glorious walks from the front door through this magical landscape where you are likely to meet small herds of Exmoor ponies or even deer.

Birds include snipe, skylarks, buzzards and many other species. You can watch our wildlife from the warmth of the cottage with a bustling bird table just outside the picture window which has long views across the moor. The garden is a quiet spot to relax in and on a clear night with a warm drink or a glass of  wine you can gaze up at the Milky Way, in this designated Dark Sky Area.

Dulverton is the closest town and has a small supermarket, butcher, deli, a beautiful bookshop and the Dulverton National Park Centre. There are plenty of cosy tea rooms and delightful pubs and restaurants within a short drive.

Little Folly sleeps up to four people and up to two well behaved, supervised dogs are welcome. With ample parking, Little Folly is the perfect place from which to explore the wonders of Exmoor.

Little Folly is attached to  our house (The Folly) but has a separate and private entrance and is all yours for the duration of your stay.
